wacom intuos 2 drivers

Anyone managed to get this Graphics Tablet working properly on Vista yet?
By default it *does* work, but the pen still works in 'mouse mode' and the mouse is SOOOOOOOO slow, with no way to speed it up. If I load the Wacom driver, it just fails to work at all..
Suggestions?
